That time, always flying.

POkay, I know it had been a while and trust me, i've been wanting to write!
I just didn't know it had been since January! And it's like a handful of days till April now. Eek!
Lots has happened! Lemme tell you.

1. Most of February, i went on a daily "workout"/ eating RIGHT and very little binge. It stopped for our Valentine's Day/8 Year Anniversary celebration. I tried to keep going but it just stopped there. Doug and I had dinner at King's Inn which is a very popular seafood place here around Kingsville. We ate to our heart's content.

2. on Feb 17, I went cake tasting (at just one place, lolol) with the girls- Vanessa, Valeria, Moosie and Lidia. We had a bit of a disappointment with the original place we were gonna get the cake at but it worked out because we ended up at an even cuter place called Cupcake Happiness and the cake came out cheaper than the place we were previously quoted at. ($200) Lidia gave a $100 deposit on it and that was that! We also went downtown to look for dresses and I dropped off my ring to get the stone changed.

3. Harry Potter party! Moosie turned 30! We made some chocolate frogs, snitch cake pops, wands out of chopsticks, Azkaban wanted poster, owl balloons, floating candles in the dinner room, Bertie Bott's every flavor bean, Lemon drops...it was CUTE. Denni made a super cute Sorting Hat cake but no one ate it, lulz.

4. Barely started getting my handyman-woman status going again in early March. I painted the pillars outside of the house white as well as the door. Also pressure washed it-ish. It really made the house look much nicer. Still needs more tho, obvz. Also, made raking more of a weekly thing because those dead leaves are never ending!

5. WE BOUGHT OUR TICKETS TO JAPAN TONIGHT!!! We will fly with Delta, si Dios quiere and arrive at Narita Airport! WHOOOOO!!!

6. March 11th was Crystal's baby shower for baby Ezra. Doug and I went to San Antonio and saw their new, adorable house. I talked to Doug's aunt Carmen about helping us out with our flight that leaves from Houston. Got to know Patty a lot more. She is Doug's uncle Joaquin's wife. I won the baby food eating game- once again showing off my lucky side to the family. (i won a money game with them on New Years.) Doug won the chocolate diaper one! Gave Crystal a wedding invite! The FIRST one. Also bought a pink suitcase at DD's today!

7. Spring Break 2017- SUPER WILD. Jk. We mostly just stayed in bed and watched tv, ate whatever Doug wanted to eat-since it's HIS vacation and were adults. Michelle came to visit on Thursday and we went biking at Corpus, enjoying awesome but super windy weather. Ate some food together and tried to shop for my trip in the summer. Always fun with that girl.

8. Totally into a new hobby. I don't even know how to keep track of all the hobbies I start/finish/don't finish! It's plant keeping now. I don't know if gardening is the right word for it. I don't know. I'm mostly just keeping potted plants...started with some succulents, a cactus..now I have some fibrous begonia, african violets, snapdragons and white princess. I so far have just killed a Primrose. Mmmm, also, I have fungus gnats now, i think. That made me feel really sad.

9. For Ham's birthday on the 22nd, he picked me up and I drove us, him, Moosie and Adam, to San Antonio and Austin. It was a Wed/Thurs but it felt like the weekend. We packed a lot into those two days. Technically, it was just 4 days ago but I still feel like my old lady body is recovering. Especially since i'm used to just being a little on the lazy side these days. We ate good food- Pei Wei, Torchy's Tacos, Lulu's Cafe and got some stuff at Trader Joe's. We went to the Japanese Tea Gardens, two of the Pinballz arcades, Anime Tokyo, Otaku Cafe, Game Over, Zookeeper, the Alamo Drafthouse, his brother's house...I probably forgot where else. Ha. It was fun but tiring. We told scary stories on the way back while I drank coffee and it gave me the super poops.

10. Yesterday, we drove back from staying in the valley over the weekend. We got my dress fitted, went to buy boobs at Dillards with mom, Nessa, Val, Denni and Michi. I also bought a white dress for my Bridal Shower! We had Zooey's 4th Birthday party and I had some family time with the Hadman side of the family (Doug's mom's side.) We slept at my dad's and the next morning we met with my aunts and uncle and sibs at the cemetery for Grandma's 2nd year of her death anniversary. It was bittersweet, of course. It was nice to see my sweet aunts. We spent a chunk of time at my sister's house afterwards and Josh made us breakfast. I met the new baby, Yuma, and we had wedding chats and other silly chats. The boys played emulators. Val slept.

Today, I've been trying to take it easy with my eats because my stomach feels sore in the inside. Like it's been punched a couple of times and it's bruised. Either way, Doug and I ate at the Italian place here in Kingsville. It was a strange but lovely experience...just because I was there with him.  I think i've just been eating too much. I received a contract for the DJ- Le Lilt aka Andrew Idrogo. Still need the contract from photographer: Gustavo Huerta. I have one more $530 payment for the venue. Wedding things are going A-OK!
