Some calm

I think that Vanessa's Bridal shower went well.
No lie, I was pretty stressed all day until I finally arrived at the Burnhams'.
My stupid, adorable cupcakes were getting messed up and the chairs sliding back and forth in the back of my lil' truck were putting me on edge. Anxiety! Of course, I just wanted things to be pretty and perfect.

The bridesmaids and I were all running a little late but it all worked out and I'm very grateful they were all there to help! My sis looked beautiful. ^_^

Speaking of things going well, Jake's surgery went well too!

Vanessa's shower was on Sunday, Jake got snipped on Saturday. =x
I was so giggly and guilty when I picked him up in the afternoon. He was so groggy from the 'drugs' and he was bumping into walls with his big ole' cone of shame. Poor baby. Today, (Monday) he is back to his normal self but still has to stay indoors for another 5 days so his incision doesn't get dirty or whatnot. He's pretty restless but he behaves so well inside. I'm proud of him. <3

The day of the surgery was quite lovely for Doug and I.
We spent the day at the beach and met up with his mom and her bf, Hector.
We went to a private, "members only" beach access and watched Hector kiteboard.

Looked pretty intense.
Doug also learned to handle the kite. I love to see him enjoying himself. The weather was perfect. (Well, it could have been warmer, in my opinion.)
After that, we went back to their condos and they lent us their bikes. I felt giddy as I passed by a bunch of cute old people and people walking their dogs and families walking together. It was great.

We killed a little time riding and came back at 4 so we could go eat at this cute Italian place his mom wanted to take us to. Gabriella's, the place, was only about 5 mins away. We had Texas sized wings as appetizers and a really delicious pizza. Just as we finished our food, I got a call from the clinic that Jake was done. Everything just worked out so well that day.

Except I was so tired cause it was all so non-stop and I still had to go to Lidia's to finish the cupcake decorating. She did all the work. I played with Emi.

Anyway, thank God for all the blessings!

Tomorrow is Tuesday and I work 2-10.
After that I am off Wednesday-Friday! SWEET!
